To give solution to the current and future urban problems this growth leads to, Smart Social City has created a model of urban development that integrates the design of the city, the socio-economic viability and the quality of life. The model is focused on the citizen, main protagonist of the city, on his needs and his possibilities.
The Smart Social City Model includes 12 areas of development that must be present to be able to speak about an improvement of the quality of life of citizens. In a real and concrete location, these criteria are interrelated looking for the balance of the ecosystem where every action, every infrastructure, service or system is linked to the global aim of the operation: the improvement of quality of life of citizens.
Smart Social City understands quality of life as a concept used to evaluate the general well-being of the individuals and companies, which it is measured not only in quantity and quality of wealth and employment, but also, and specially, in physical and architectural environment, physical and mental health, education and belonging or social cohesion; of every socio-economic, demographic and cultural reality.
